The Ashmolean Rooftop Restaurant is spacious, light and airy. We sat inside as it was a scorching hot day and all the tables with shade had already been taken. All of the wide doors were opened so it was comfortable.
Arcangelo our waiter was very professional and gave us a perfect attentive, unrushed service.
We chose from the Raphael set menu which is very reasonably priced for 2 or 3 courses.
Lovely Caprese starter with tasty tomatoes and pesto on the mozzarella.
Main of Guinea fowl was excellent accompanied by al dente tender stem broccoli. The balsamic mayo and smoked beetroot was also a clever touch.
Nearly didn’t bother with dessert but the chocolate orange cake was too good to miss.
Finished with excellent cappuccino.
It was a pleasure to dine at the Ashmolean Rooftop Restaurant in July 2017.
